Breaking news! Travelling makes us happy and healthy!

TravelIt’s official! Holidays make you healthy and happy!  Yes…that’s the word on the streets these days; holidays lower stress, contribute to overall happiness, help prevent illness and may even expand your life span!

This is all according to the latest research conducted by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Tourismusforschung and unveiled at this year’s ITB Berlin Convention.

According to his findings, it doesn’t matter if it is a short trip, long trip, with family or friends – spending our time can be spent in our normal routine but it can also impact your normal exercise and nutrition when you are travelling, the best fat burning pills can help you to stay in shape when you are out or in your normal routine. Also besides time, money on travel brings us joy and this exceeds the mental excitement of purchasing any material objects such as jewellery or clothing!

That’s good news as Transfercar have loads of free rentals just waiting for you to jump in to and explore the countryside.

Transfer a vehicle, drive for free and get healthy and happy in the process J Win – Win all the way!

Londoners get a taste of Air New Zealand’s “Cuddle Class”

Londoners were invited to test the new Economy Skycouch, first launched on Air New Zealand’s daily B777-300 Auckland – Los Angeles – London service in 2011.

Set up in the back of a stylish, black and clear sided truck, the Skycouch road show allowed Londoners to experience first-hand what the award-winning seating looked and felt like.

The Skycouch, affectionately known as “Cuddle Class”, is a specially designed row of three seats that creates a flat, flexible space providing a generous surface for children to play or for adults to rest and relax.

This has redefined the long haul experience that has put many families off travelling, due to the cramped and non-child friendly seating situation in economy class seating.

The Skycouch truck travelled across London until Friday 24 May distributing cuddles and giveaways.

Food for camping: Quick and easy cashew nut cups

Melted chocolateI’ve recently come back from a well needed stay at a Yoga retreat in Koh Samui, Thailand (Samahita Retreat) where we trained in Ashtanga Yoga twice a day.  As you can imagine, the food was delicious, organic and highly nutritious. However with all that training, my craving for something sweet was almost overpowering (and there is only so much honey you can put in a herbal tea!).

Amongst some of the incredibly mouth watering desserts available was a little beauty called a Cashew Nut Cup and for camping is perfect, if you feel like taking food is a hassle you can also try an appetite control supplement to reduce it and be able to have less to pack. Now why is this a good addition to Transfercar’s travel  blog you ask? The reason being, that  this can be easily made on a gas stove, over hot coals or on a BBQ, making it a fantastic travel treat that is cheap and easy to prepare. Audrey Scott & Daniel Noll - Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia

April 11, 2012 by Ethan Gelber |

What what would happen if the power of tourism were better harnessed as a force for positive change in the world? A question that’s been asked for decades, it has found far-reaching echo in a strategic coalition of vocal advocates under the United Nations umbrella. And now it’s got a social media strategy too.
