New video presentation out

Two weeks ago we had a fun day (more fun than usual) here at Transfercar when [business:Made From New Zealand] came up from Wellington and did a video shoot of us. We started out filming outside the University of Auckland Business School (where the idea to Transfercar first was developed). Then we moved down to the car yard at Jucy Rental Cars (they happened to be close, sorry to all the other rental companies that didn’t get the same exposure!). And Tim Alpe, CEO at Jucy gave us a raving...Read More

The eclipse of human behaviour

Slowely but surely ‘it’ is coming- and New Zealand won’t be far off I bet. From fingerprint identification that is. Your thumb -or any finger on your two lovely hands for that matter- will be your most precious asset when renting a car or campervan in the near future. Yup, it looks like we have finally arrived in the era where your authorising signature -and with that your word-is not sufficient anymore. The dawn of a new age where a photocopy of your identification doesn’t do it...Read More

Rugby World Cup 2011

I was fortunate to attend Thrive 2008 at Aotea square on Thursday and was quite fascinated with what Martin Snedden (CEO Rugby New Zealand 2011 Ltd.) had to say. With the obvious concerns regarding whether New Zealand had the infrastructure to deal with and event of this scale he seems to have the right attitude – pointing out that this is our chance to show the world what a ‘small country like New Zealand’ can do! The was a very concerned message that the recent media portrayal of the...Read More
