Transfercar is pleased to let you all know that 8 out of the 9 HAPNZ (Holiday Parks NZ) are now open and ready to take in visitors to the region following the devastating earthquake that hit Christchurch city on 22 February.
The only park that remains closed at this point is Stonehurst Accommodation in the central city, however all other parks are now open, including holiday parks in the wider region, such as Hanmer Springs, Rakaia, Oxford, Woodend and Waikuku. Travellers, both domestic and international, who may be looking for motels, cabins or backpacker style accommodation outside of the CBD are being encouraged to seek out holiday parks nearby as accommodation options.
While Christchurch’s central city remains closed and much of the CBD accommodation inaccessible, short term visitors are also being encouraged to find holiday parks nearby as they have the capacity to offer both long and short term lodgings.
Some Holiday Parks in the Canterbury/Christchurch region:
- KAIKOURA PEKETA BEACH HOLIDAY PARK
- WAIKUKU BEACH HOLIDAY PARK
